@petunia354: these chairs scare me! My lo likes to toss her whole body around when she's in a fit, I could just see her taking this whole chair with her in her many attempts to drown herself...

Maybe it's time to transition her into the big tub? I remember being worried about LO getting too big for her baby tub (kind of like yours) and was searching for all sorts of items for her to sit on. But before I even got to narrow it down, she transitioned just fine. I never looked back.

If she can sit on her own without any problems, I'd let her explore.

We have a different tub. But we just tell her no no. And she finally stopped trying to pull up.

We still use the tub cause we figure she will try and stand up just as easily in the full size tub. Our tub is just an open tub, there is nothing in it, so she has more room.

We use either a padded bath mat and just keep one hand on him at all times or we use this bath seat that my mom got us. It makes it a littlebit harder to wash him but keeping him contained and safe is worth it. I've also head of people using a laundry basket! It would give K more room to cruise around but you wouldn't have to worry about her slipping and banging her head on the tub.

As soon as he started to stand I ditched the infant tub. I got a squishy mat for the tub floor, so he wouldn't slip, and started filling the tub with a couple inches of water instead.

We had the same tub and I had to ditch it around 6 months because DS kept trying to climb out. He bathes in the big tub now. He still tries to stand and just tell him no standing in the bath and sit him back down.

How do you stop your LO from climbing and trying to stand in the bathtub? I looked up past threads and seems like most people keep their LOs in the infant tub well beyond 1 y/o. K is only ~ 9 months but I am having the hardest time keeping her contained in the tub!

We have this tub (not using the sling) and no matter which side I seat her on, she leans back so her legs are hanging out, practically floating, kneeling, hanging over the side, or now her new trick is to pull up on the side of the tub. Frustrating! Does anyone use those tub seat things? Do they work?
