I think it varies from brand to brand and also on whether you apply with a sponge, brush, fingers etc. I have NOT tried it under makeup... for those days I go with my normal routine using primer. I'm relatively happy with it. It's fairly thick, but I usually use zinc oxide sunscreen, so by comparison, it isn't bad. It comes out a lot more gray when I pump it onto my hand, but I've learned to apply it on the spots that need coverage by tapping it on with my finger. The consistency is somewhat thick and it doesn't rinse of with water, which is perfect for the humid weather we've been having.
