I'm totally picked up new batteries! I just got AF (boo!) so apparently my thermometer was way off because it wasn't giving me any indication of her coming TODAY.

@fussygal: I had to replace mine after about 5 months, I think? It went haywire on me and stopped working.

@fussygal: Mine always takes a bit longer but I attributed that to the sensitivity of the thermometer. As long as the temperature is changing, it keeps going - only once it's the same number for a couple seconds does it start to beep. Some mornings it's less than a minute, others it's a good two minutes.

@MrsMac: Yeah, I think mine is taking longer to read my temps in the morning. Sometimes I swear it's 1-2 minutes, used to be 30-40 seconds. Who really knows though, I usually start to fall asleep with it in my mouth, haha.

I had to change the battery after about a year. I knew it was time when one morning it just wouldn't turn on lol. Leading up to that, my temperatures weren't noticeably wacky, but I was noticing it took longer than normal to finish.

I replaced my entire thermometer after a year. I would have changed the battery but I'm lazy :-)

Mine died and instead of buying a big pack of batteries, I just bought a new thermometer...

Have you ever had to change the battery on your BBT thermometer? If so, how long we're you using it before a change was needed and how did you know it was necessary?

I've had some strange temps the past few days, including a giiiiant dip post O and then a rise with three temps that are almost identical. It could be that it's just strange temps, but I wanted to look into the battery issue, too.
