Thank you all for your warm thoughts and responses.

It let up, so I'm guessing it was just heavy spotting? Really odd since there wasn't much hemorrhaging at my last u/s, but oh well. If it picks back up again maybe I'll stop by the nurses' station when I go back to give blood next week.

I'm just really hoping this doesn't mean AF will now take 4-6 weeks from this spotting to return and I can still hope for it to get back to normal 4-6 weeks after the bulk of the bleeding stopped...

I think I'll keep temping because to me, it's sort of a "return to normalcy" habit. And I previously had to take progesterone to kickstart a regular cycle, so I'd rather have the charts to back up anything unusual if it comes to needing to do that again.

Since it's only been two weeks I agree it may not be AF.

Honestly I would stop temping and take the time off until you really know you have AF back and then pick back up from there.

I'm sorry for your loss :(

Yep. I bled on and off for weeks. It took 8 weeks for my hcg to go to zero and 10 weeks to get my period.

Sorry for your loss :(

I don't have any insight (I didn't temp, and AF came back at right around 5 weeks for both of mine), but I do want to say that I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. I agree that no one talks about what to expect, and I've been very grateful to have somewhere I could talk about these things. A lot of us have been there though (sadly), so this is the place to get questions answered, that's for sure!

It's possible that its the start of your first period. I was still turning tests positive when I got my first period 30 days post D&C.. That bleeding started slow and picked up after a day or so, which is not how my periods were premiscarriage. I would jeep an eye on it and keep temping (my temps were all over the place for a while) If you are concerned call your doctor.

I was, though I had slacked the month we got our BFP (Dec).

That's why I think my chart looks "normal" for pre-O. The temps aren't high (like after BFP), they seem more like usual post-period/pre-O temps.

I bled on and off for probably 8 weeks. Maybe a little less. It took about 5 weeks for my hormones to drop to zero. It's an unpredictable process, sorry :(

Question (or maybe several) for those that chart and have had a miscarriage.

I started charting via BBT when I miscarried (naturally). Once I stopped bleeding (two weeks ago) my temps also dropped to my usual pre-O level. They've wavered a tiny bit, but not anything astounding or unusual pre-MC

I've had HCG levels checked, and on Tuesday it was at 65. They're falling as the doctor expected, and with the internal u/s two weeks ago, the doc said it looked like it was complete.

So, after two weeks of no bleeding, I started bleeding again (heavier than just spotting). I don't think it's a period because it seems my HCG would still be high for that. And it's only been 3 weeks since MC

On the other hand I'm not freaking out and assuming infection, because the scans were quite clean and the HCG is still dropping.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Any insight?

I feel like "what to expect post-miscarriage" might be even less talked about than "what to expect when miscarrying"...
