The favorite for both him and my 3 year old were stomp rockets. I bought them for my nephews when they were little and they all loved them too. I think it's way below the $50 threshold so I might give some books too. We just visited my FIL, who had saved ALL of DH's Hot Wheels/Micro machines/etc and DS1 is alllll about them!!</p> <p>I ended up ordering him a subscription to High Five magazine. My 3.5 year old loves it, especially bc it's mail just for him ;) But also it's fun to read together, AND you can throw it away when he's done with it (haha. But seriously).
