Cash gift of a third or half a week's pay. Once you do this it may set a precedent though for gift giving days ex. bday, Christmas.

Does she like coffee? Personalized ravel mug
Does she wear make up? Cute cosmetic bag
Does she workout/ jog? Funky exercise socks

Or simply give her a card with the extra money inside.

Maybe $50? That would be nice. And how about cookies or chocolates from your daughter?

We have a wonderful nanny for our 7 month old DD. Nanny's birthday is at the end of the month. As her bday present i'm going to give her extra pay. I know money is tight for her and her family so this will be more appreciated than a tangible gift. Any suggestions on an appropriate amount to add to her pay check? Also any suggestions for a small gift for my 7 month old daughter to give to her? There's the obvious framed photo but maybe someone has more creative ideas?
