I gained over 40 pounds with my pregnancy and I was so scared my body would never be the same. I'm only 5 feet tall so this was a lot of extra weight. I think I just have good genes because my baby is 11 weeks and I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight and my hips have not permanently expanded...I can fit into my old jeans, but can't really wear them comfortably because of my c-section scar...also my skin is still pretty loose...

I was at less than my original weight for over a year after having baby but it didn't make a difference. I have since gained weight but I still don't tgink my hips have changed.

I'm sorry to ask but is it because you are still carrying weight or is everyone less or same as pre-pregnancy? I'm at my old weight but those hip bones aren't helping!!

I am pretty sure my hips will never be the same. As sad as it is, when I was pregnant the first time I was able to fit my pants all up until I gave birth and then they didn't fit.... Three years later and they still don't :(

Hmmm... I don't know. My LO is 6 months but I think my belly is the reason I don't fit into my old pants, not my hips.

I feel like my hips are more narrow now. I can slip my pre-baby pants off without unbuttoning/unzipping!
I think it's partly because my BUTT has gotten FLATTER. It's sad. :(
It took about 9 months for me to get something that looks like my old body back.
Still have some more to lose though.

I'm 4 months PP and my hips still haven't gone back to where they were before I was pregnant! I have a closet full of (expensive) pants that I really want to wear. Did your hips finally go back to where they were and how long did it take?
