Very close to Ocean City but smaller and has a great little Boardwalk. We were in OC last week and no one was there it was perfect. We stayed around 79th street which was a great location for us with an 18 month old. The beach was empty since there aren't a lot of high rises in that area. They opened a new restaurant across the street called Ropewalk that has a nice outdoor playground and live music - it was perfect for kids and adults! There are some motels and bed and breakfast type places. There aren't a ton of options here in CT. Anyone know of any nice-ish beach resorts in NJ, CT, RI, or MD that are good for kids (and adults)? Basically within a few hours drive from NYC? Preferably one with childcare or near a town with decent babysitting options? </p>
