LO didn't mind wearing either. We bought a float with a canopy when we got there and used that in the pool. Also yes, if you can cook your own meals in the condo, that'll help with not scheduling 3 meals/day out around naps and bedtime... that single thing alone made our lives a ton easier. Also having a pool right on site so we could jump out with LO for a quick swim, or one of us could go out while LO was napping and someone stayed back to man the monitor.
