@Sammyfab: I'm off to Ontario next month, and i'm soo glad both of our parents have A/C in their homes! I hope some of the heat/humidity will have tapered off by then.

We are in Ontario and when we got back from vacation last week from BC our house was 85. We hung out in the basement until it cooled down.

Re: the carseat, we go from an air-conditioned car to an air-conditioned store or the mall. I wouldn't keep him out in this kind of heat...it's way too hot for me let alone my poor sweaty baby!

Thanks! I think i will end up putting her in the basement for her afternoon naps since it is supposed to climb up to the 90s this week. We're in Alberta, so it only gets this hot a couple of weeks out of the year. If i were in NY (or the east coast) i would definitely have A/C!

How do you guys deal with infant car seats then? We took her out of the air conditioned car for maybe 20 minutes, and she was crying up a storm. When i took her out of the seat, i realized she was drenched in sweat. :(

I'm in the Seattle area so it doesn't get very hot here that often and my house does not have a/c. We are finally getting some warm sunny days (80s for us) and I have been putting LO to bed with a fan in her room and it gets her room down to 79-80.

If we had a basement that was cooler I would definitely consider putting her down there in her pack and play

I wonder how people do it! We just rented an apt. in NY for a week and it was crazy hot, but there was no air in their kids room. I hope their kids sleep in the playroom or with their parents when it's hot, which are the only air conditioned rooms.

Yikes! 90 degrees!

My LO is a hot baby so his room is probably the coolest in the house. we have a/c and a fan going in his room. He is in the magic Sleepsuit right now with just a diaper. When he was swaddled we also put him in just a diaper.

I worry about my LO overheating so if I were in your situation I would probably move him into the basement.

For those of you without air conditioning, how do you get your LO to sleep comfortably? Do you put them in a different room or find ways to cool down their nursery?

We live in a semi bungalow, and without the fan running, her room can climb up to 90 degrees! The fan makes it a little better but at 86 degrees, i am reluctant to let her sleep there, especially since i have to swaddle her. We have her in the guest room right now, but i am tempted to move her to the even cooler basement!
