My Dd is also 11.5 mo. The other day she was focused on peeling a foam sticker off the dresser (big bro stuck it there) while I was folding laundry in the same room. I let her mess with it for a good few minutes until I finally called out her name and she was startled. I guess maybe she forgot I was in the room since it was quiet.

DS is about 11 months and we've noticed in the last month or so he's gotten real spazzy about noises and things just scaring him in general. I think it's that they can observe and notice so many more things than before and processing everything on top of all this new ability to walk/cruise/stand/etc freaks them out. He's definitely been more clingy, but he's also become sooo much more coordinated, better at fine motor movements, and way more interactive, etc. Pretty cool to watch!

I just noticed LO being afraid of sounds. He is 11.5 months. We were playing in his room. DH yelled upstairs for help locating something and LO quickly crawled over to me with a frightened look on his face. I guess he couldn't make out where the sound was coming from or who made it?

When did your LOs start to be afraid?
