i usually just let LO play for like 20-30 mins and then try again to nurse or sing her a lullabye to see if she gets sleepy. usually works.

If Miss A has been displaying tired signs I'll often pop her in her cot for awhile and when she gets fussy nurse her again which is usually enough to get her to sleep. If that doesn't work we try again in half an hour.

What do you do when its bed time, you've gone through your whole routine ... And lo isn't even close to sleepy? My 7.5 mo usually falls asleep nursing or pretty quickly after, but right now she's babbling up a storm ... Totally awake. I'm thinking I'll just take her downstairs and start again when she starts to wind down. What would you do?

Edit - one hour later and she's out like a light. She must have just had a random extra burst!
