I'll give her an afternoon snack and milk when she gets tired at 5-6 so she doesn't go to bed without anything in her stomach. She will also refuse dinner occasionally. I don't make her eat but I also won't give her anything else besides milk. I didn't want him to go to bed without eating anything, though, so I made a "snack plate" of cheese, crackers, turkey, and grapes "in case anybody was still hungry" and he ate the whole thing. He can't stand being left out and will usually eat. We've also threatened to give it to him again for breakfast but at 2 I don't think he gets the concept. We got tired of DS being super picky so we starting requiring that he at least try his dinner before getting down.
