My LO has always gone to bed late (10-11PM) but she also gets up late (9-10AM). At that age I think it was about the same as it is now: 10-11 hour nights, except at that age she took a few naps a day and now she usually just takes one.

At around 12 weeks we started bringing him to bed at 7. He had been going to bed with me whenever I could be bothered, usually 930 or 10, but was sleeping in the living room from about 730 usually, so we figured why not just put him down in the bassinet from that time. It was a bit of a struggle at first (cause he's such a social guy, I think he still wanted to be with us!), but we set up a firm routine and now he is usually asleep by 715 at the latest (at 5.5 months).

9pm at 3 months I think, sometimes 9:30 before she'd fall asleep though. Now at 4.5 months it has gradually moved to 8pm

We usually start bedtime at 7pm and have her in bed by 7:30. Sometimes when her day-time routine has been interrupted it may be earlier or later.

My LO is 3.5mo and her bed time (the time we head upstairs) is always 8:30 on the dot. She gets a bath and bottle and then rocked to sleep. She's usually asleep at 9. During the day she is almost never awake more than 1.5 hours (2 hrs max). If she takes long naps there are only 3. If she takes short naps there are 5. We do keep her up until 8:30 even if she is tired earlier because when we tried putting her to bed earlier a few weeks ago it destroyed her night time sleep. I guess we may start trying to move it a bit earlier though?

Thanks! It's a relief that 8ish may not be too late since I get home from work at 6 and I don't want to have any less time with the little guy! (It's my second day back at work - not easy!)

It was around 9 for LO 1 until I went back to work at 4 months PP.

LO 2 slept around 6:30-7 early on....just her preference!

At three month, my baby was going to bed around 7:30 or 8, but bedtime was often torture. He'd be up frequently, sometimes as often as every 8 minutes, before finally settling for the night. It would take 90 minutes - 2 hours to get him to go to bed, and I tried everything to make it better. Earlier bedtime, later bedtime, more naps, fewer naps, etc etc etc. But the only thing that worked was time! One day he just went to sleep...and stayed asleep.

If his naps are crap (mine were), it doesn't hurt to try putting him down earlier.

At 3 months, Xander usually took about 3-4 naps a day (roughly only 30 minutes each) and his bedtime was around 7:30 p.m. (with a dreamfeed at 9:00). He generally was only awake for about 2 hours at a time before he needed another nap/to go to bed.

What time is/was bedtime for your 3 month old?

DS's bed time has been gradually getting earlier 9:30, 9, 8:30 and the last couple of nights 8pm. He has been getting more difficult to put to sleep and has been doing some major crying in the evenings. I know he is overtired - he's been taking pretty short naps (30-45min) - is his bed time too late? Or is he just not napping enough?
