I only have one, but she's been really tough at bedtime lately. My husband was able to to help me tonight and it made a big difference. It's hard solo, that's for sure! </p> <p>My trick for getting my 2 y.o. to brush her teeth is to tell her there are bugs in her teeth, lol! I will say, "J, you really need to brush your teeth, there are bugs in there now." She will get super serious and say, "Ok, Mommy, I get bugs out! I brush teeth." My mom thinks that's a terrible thing for me to tell her, but it's true... they're just microscopic! :silly: I also got her one of those disposable vibrating toothbrushes and she really likes pressing the button.</p> <p>My main issue I'm having is that she is half potty trained and she often poops in the potty right before bed. However, when she's taking a long time, I can't tell if she really needs to go or if she's just stalling... I want to just give her 5-10 min and say that's that, but if I put her to bed and she hasn't gone, there's a chance I could wake up to a mess, since she won't stay in a poopy diaper. :( She also stalls a lot by asking for more hugs, kisses, blankets, etc.... My 1 month old was colicky so I was holding and patting and swaying one while holding the hand of the other for about an hour and a half. All of that is to say I feel your pain... I don't know what happened, but it's seriously thrown off our routine.</p> <p>Dd1 (3.5) now INSISTS on crackers in bed, what? No! She screams for over an hour if I don't give in. Brushing her teeth has been terrible since she was old enough to brush, so that starts the night off on a sour note. </p> <p>Dd2 is 19 months old and I have to put her to sleep in a different room due to dd1 and her procrastination since they share a room. She flails, kicks, hits, and just plain makes it a pain to hold her, but is wide awake if you set her down.</p> <p>I cannot wait for Dh to get home so he can help. It's been over a year since he's been here for more than a week to help. This Mommy is beyond tired! Two more months left!! </p>
