I would definitely bring him in to be safe. That doesn't sound like a normal bee sting reaction!

Wow, that sounds scary!

Honestly, multiple bee stings like that can be pretty darn serious, and it sounds like he's not his usual self- for me, that would be more than enough to round him up into the car and get him to the ER.

It's always better to be safe than sorry! I would absolutely get some medical attention.

@locavore_mama: Yikes sound super scary! Again this is me, I would probably rush home to drive him to the hospital myself.

Something like this happened to DH a year ago. He was being a tough guy and finally I forced him to go to the ER in the middle of the night. We bought LO with us and we were there for like 6 hours but lucky nothing was wrong. It still gave me peace of mind even though it was a big hassle.

@Raindrop: I know!! I was worried and texted and called him a few times today and he never picked up. I was about to call FIL to ask him to go check on DH. But DH called me back and told me he would go to immediate care if he still felt bad in an hour. But he ended up falling asleep and not waking up till I called him almost four hours later. He went back to sleep immediately after dinner. I'm not sure if I should let him sleep and rest or make him go to immediate care. But if he's not feeling well and delirious I also don't want him driving.

Hopefully he wakes up later and I can ask how he's feeling.

Personally I would go to the ER. I think everything will be fine but I would caution on the better safe than sorry route right now. Good luck!

On Saturday DH was mowing the lawn and disturbed a pretty big Bee hive in the ground. He got stung *at least* a dozen times. He immediately took an antihistamine and I made him take a cold shower then wiped all the spots with a insect bite wipe from our aid kit and take a ibuprofen.

The worst spots were his neck and calves which blew up. He iced them off and on all night. By Sunday all spots but the calves were fine and no longer in pain. But his calves were pretty painful and slightly hard. For reference DH has a very high pain threshold so for him to complain to me he must've been in serious discomfort and pain.

Fast forward to this morning and he could not get out of bed. He was feeling weak and called in sick to work. He ended up sleeping all day. He never ever does this. The only other times I remember him sleeping the whole day away was when he had pneumonia!!

I am wondering if this is a common reaction to a bee sting? Or is he coming down with something and the timing is just coincidental?
