The support is great, no need for an infant insert and the material is very soft. I'd HIGHLY recommend finding your local babywearing club (they're usually on Facebook) and checking out their library or stopping by a store with a wide collection. I really really liked a woven wrap for long carry times with my LO when they were small. Now I use a tula most the time. Although at 18 months and 28 pounds LO2 doesn't get carried that much these days. I used the Boba wrap with my 2nd and it was super snuggly and sturdy. Though if you want to go for a carrier, I'd get the Ergo Adapt or Tula Free to Grow so you don't need an insert! I love my Ergo and Tula! It's super comfortable and just fit my body well. I got a Lillebaby when DD was about 8 months old, and found it to be very stiff, bulky, and the straps hard to adjust. I've been wearing my daughter since she was born, sometimes for 6-8 hours a day. You can cross the straps in back for a more comfortable carry. We now use a a Beco toddler carrier but planning on using the Lillebaby with LO2.
