Thanks Mamacate! I really appreciate your response. After posting in the pregnancy board, I realized parenting would probably make more sense b/c the women would have gone through it already. I got many responses on that thread. Thanks again!

@MrsBeachyBaby: i was induced at 40 + 6. We weighed the options with my ob and decided the risks of induction we better than the risks of a post-term baby. I was worried about avoiding csection so we looked at my bishop score and it was favorable. I think i was about wher you were on stats.,

I went to the hospital in the morning, startedon pitocin and labored for about 4 hours before asking for the epi. I had progressed to 5 so i was assured that the epi wouldnt stall my labor. A few hours later i was ready to push and was able to deliver LO!

While it wasnt exactly how i envisioned it, the day went well and my LO got here safe and sound. I was happy with the way it worked out,

Sorry for the novel! Let me know if i can answer any questions and good luck!

Has anyone been induced? Care to share your story? I am currently 40 weeks and 4 days. At my appt. yesterday we discussed the possibility of an inducement at the end of the week. The baby is doing great and everything was good with my non stress test. I am 2 cm dilated and 70% effaced. I have been for 3 weeks and my doctor does not expect movement next week if I show no signs at the end of the week. It will either be cervidil or pitocin depending on my dilation at the next visit. Just curious how many of you have had to be induced and your story from it? Thanks I really appreciate it!
