Just because only women can get pregnant and deliver a baby, doesn't mean that it isn't hard work. When a woman gets pregnant, what she can do, eat, drink, all change and are limited. Add in morning sickness, heart burn, little feet jammed into your ribcage, and peeing every 5 minutes. Men should be thanking us and grateful they don't have to go through it. Even if you aren't into the idea of a push present, the work that it takes to be pregnant and deliver a baby should be acknowledged. </p> <p>I wasn't into a push present, as DH and I are not big into presents anyway. But I got myself a necklace to mark my return to work. I wish someone had mentioned it and talked it up to my DH! I think it's a sweet idea but missed out because DH has no idea of the concept. sigh. He didn't know what it was so I said, "Oh, you know. It's a small gift you might want to give your wife for her hard work carrying the baby! It'll be so sweet!" Well, he was SO offended by this! He said. "Why should I gift her for doing something only women can do?"</p> <p>Whhaaat?</p> <p>Anyway, I was, in turn, offended by his comment that I just ended the conversation.</p> <p>Was I out of line to suggest a push present? :( </p>
