Mine never popped. I can't remember when it went back to normal, but it looks exactly the same as it did pre-pregnancy.

Mine never went back to normal.

It used to be tight and small and deep. It turned into this wide, shallow thing in the middle of my stomach that resembled the end of a hot dog.

I am now pregnant again, and my belly button just looks weird. seriously. I am pretty sure I now have the weirdest belly button of all time for the rest of my life.

Mine is still popped 10.5 months later. Stomach is flat, belly button is not at all - makes for some challenges when getting dressed:( That's what I get for being "all belly" with a 9lb baby!

@maybebaby: It will go back to normal color! I hated mine being brown. It takes quite a while (months!) for the color to normalize. Mine is pink and normal color again, thank goodness!

At 4 1/2 months, mine looks like a normal belly button but it doesnt look like before. It's much wider-- you can see right into the whole thing where as before it was all hidden in there. LOL My stomach on the whole looks pretty good. Not totally flat yet but getting there. I am back to prepreg weight give or take a couple pounds.

So there's some hope my belly button will resume it's previous state! My belly is definitely squishy though and that was an eye opener for me. I haven't tried putting on my non-maternity jeans yet, and am afraid to to be disappointed if they don't fit!

@Alivoo01: Mine used to be very tight and deep too, and I thought I had the saddest looking belly button post-partum. It just recently started to look a little more like normal (I'm at almost 5 months pp). But it's not as small and deep still. My belly button never popped either, but just got really stretched wide and shallow. Hoping it will get smaller, but not sure it will ever be the same.

Mine isn't the same either  Its been a year and my stomach overall looks good, fairly toned. But that belly button is a dead giveaway. It looks like an old car where the upholstery has come loose and it hanging down from the top. Ugh. I hate it. It did turn dark during pregnancy and that, luckily, went back to normal. I seriously want plastic surgery on my belly button to pin it back the way it was!

I'm 12 days pp, and my belly button is back to normal, save for a light ring in my skin tone that appeared in the last month or two of pregnancy. This is my first baby, and overall, I'm back to my intial size. I'm a little flubby, and definitely need to tighten up, but I'm wearing my pre-pregnacy wardrobe again.
