Pre-pregnancy the only things that touched the pooch were intense cardio and push-ups. We shall see post-pregnancy...

I, too, have always had the pooch- it's way worse post-baby and post-csection. I am about 3 weeks into Pure Barre, and they definately target those muscles in class- I can feel them getting stronger, but not sure that I will ever see the pooch go away- there is just so much extra skin!

@blackbird: Off to google some! I prefer exercises for transverse abs anyway!

Note: Prefer doesn't necessarily mean I do them, obvs. ;).

@Bookworm: I've had it since I was a teen too. It's not awful, but looks weird when the rest of my stomach is fairly toned (when I'm regularly exercising, that is). Mine looks pretty much the same pp as it did before baby, so it could be fine!

It's worse after the baby. My skin is loose there. All my mom friends talk about it. It'll take awhile to tighten up

As far as toning goes, though, leg raises and anything for the transverse abs. Static Pilates holds, etc

Sigh... I hope someone knows. I've had that darn pooch since I was a teenager and no amounts of diet and exercise have yet to get rid of it. I'm fairly terrified of what it's going to look like post partum. So BUMP, and hope people have ideas ;)

What exercises do you do to get rid of that? I feel like I could do 1 million ab exercises a day, and I would still have that little pooch.
