@Foodnerd81: Cool, thanks! Poor DD3, she's not actively being destructive, she's just trying to play the way her sisters do (putting the dolls on horses, bending their legs, etc.) and she simply can't be as careful because she's still so little - I probably shouldn't call her Godzilla, but we've had a lot of breakage recently :)

@PinkElephant: I don’t think i could break a leg off of them if I tried. We’ve had them since before my youngest was born and she hasn’t done any damage, but I admit she’s not super destructive. Yes like a bendy sort of cord- more stretchy feeling than a pipe cleaner almost more like a super strong rubber band.

@Foodnerd81: Thanks! I've seen those before and was wondering if they'd be sturdy enough. They're on a bendy sort of cord, right? Kind of like an extra strong pipe cleaner?

Anything with plastic joints is out - DD3 is like Godzilla to that sort of toy! :) :)

The dolls that came with our Melissa and Doug dollhouse are pretty sturdy but still bendable. You can buy them separately too.

Looking for recommendations on bendy (ie., hard to break) little dolls or action figures for my 1.5 year old daughter. She is obsessed with my older daughters' Spirit Riding Free dolls (the girls, not the horses), but unfortunately this type of jointed action figure is just way too fragile for her (she's snapped the legs off of two; one at the knee, and one at both hips) just with gentle, normal play.

She has a few Barbie Chelsea dolls, but I'm looking for slightly smaller options/ideas. Thanks!
