@autumnlove: We went with a kinderpack. I was nervous because it is from a smaller outfit, but all of the rating websites gave it great reviews. It is expensive, but it should last until pre-school if LO still wants to be worn.
I have used bjorn, k'tan, tried on an ERGO and the kinderpack has been mine and baby's fav. Good luck!

@autumnlove: if you like the Ergo a Tula is similar but a little more comfy and lasts longer (because it has a larger panel/seat for lo). Another great carrier (especially on summer) is a mei tai. I love love love my babyhawk mei tai :)

Boba! It has foot straps to help toddler weight distribution. Not sure about seat width.

@Navy_Mommy: Thanks! Haha I am totally following that up with this- so how long would you say an ergo is good for? Up to the weight limit? Or would you move to one of the other carriers you recommended at a certain age. Thanks so much!

@cheesetomywhine: an ergo should be fine for a 13 month old! kinderpacks and tulas are both known for being super wide if you ever want to "upgrade." They even have "toddler" and "preschool" size soft structured carriers! We have a toddler size half buckle that will probably fit W until he's WAY too big to be worn, lol.

@Navy_Mommy: May be a silly question but is the ergo a good type with a wide base? It is the only carrier we use but I would hate to be using one that is better suited for babies. R is 13 months if that helps.

@HLK208: ideally to be truly ergonomic and support the hips properly the "seat" of the carrier should spread from knee to knee. That obviously isn't ALWAYS going to be the case, but the Gemini has a very narrow base for a soft structured carrier. So if someone is looking for a long-term carrier there are better options out there.

@betsyboop: a Gemini really is geared towards babies not toddlers. The seat isn't wide enough to give proper support to a toddler.

What other carriers work well with a baby and toddler? I'm not even sure if my toddler wants to be worn...she loves walking and riding in her stroller!
