My friend desperately wants to have kids though, and is having trouble convincing her husband, so I don't always go to her because I don't want to rub it in that I have a child. I love her and I think she does an amazing job raising her children. She doesn't pretend like things are perfect but she deals with the imperfections the best way she knows how and I think that is totally admirable. They are great to talk to about milestones and gear and sleeplessness.<br /> I also have several friends who are a few months ahead of me in the parenting journey who give great advice. My MIL is LO's primary caregiver during the week, so she understands exactly what we're going through. My friends and I are very open with one another about challenges we face with our LOs and it is a huge help to know that we all go through similar things.
