besides my sister, parents and hellobee, my biggest and greatest support are my mommy friends. soon after LO was born 8 weeks ago, i found myself in these long email exchanges with a bunch of my friends, and i reach out to them on a regular basis with all my questions. they're wonderful.

also, i've started more threads on the hellobee boards (didn't used to) and it's been so wonderful receiving people's input and support!

My Mom is a big help, and my best friend some of the time. My friend desperately wants to have kids though, and is having trouble convincing her husband, so I don't always go to her because I don't want to rub it in that I have a child. HB is for sure a go to source.

Mainly hellobee and my mommy friends...my other friends don't have kids and so don't really get a lot of the stuff we're dealing with. My mom, I do talk to, but I find that she gets more worked up about stuff than I do and isn't great about reassuring me when I'm worried/upset.

My close friends and hellobee. I love my mom and we have a great relationship but if I try to vent about issues we're having with M I ususally get a response that boils down to "suck it up".

I voted for my mom & dad, my in-laws, hellobee and friends.

I have one friend in particular who is kind of my mom idol. I love her and I think she does an amazing job raising her children. She doesn't pretend like things are perfect but she deals with the imperfections the best way she knows how and I think that is totally admirable. I go to her for a lot of advice because I know she will be honest with me and she has the best intention of the child in mind.

HB is awesome too. I would drive my husband crazy, I'm sure, w/o these two.

Mainly from here - my parents stress me out more, so I try not to go to them too much. I also try to go to my friends, but none of them have a spirited child, so it tends to limit how much they can help me. So HB is my resource :-)

We don't have a lot of friends with babies, pretty much I'm the first out of my group of friends to have a kid, but my sister has three kids, my cousin has two, my aunt practically raised us, MIL had 4 kids so I have a lot of support when it comes to questions and needing some time for myself.

I also joined a parent's messaging board group and Hellobee is a great resource!

My mom has been a great sounding board, as have her friends who have known me my whole life.
My sister-in-law and brother-in-law have a daughter who is only 20 days younger than my daughter. They are great to talk to about milestones and gear and sleeplessness.
I also have several friends who are a few months ahead of me in the parenting journey who give great advice. And now I'm a few months ahead of several other friends, so I get to pass the advice along!

My parents and sister are far away, but they are great listeners and offer support that way. My MIL is LO's primary caregiver during the week, so she understands exactly what we're going through. My friends and I are very open with one another about challenges we face with our LOs and it is a huge help to know that we all go through similar things. And I'm just starting to realize how wonderful Hellobee is for this.

Typing this all out makes me feel very lucky to have so much emotional support!
