i got through the first year without sleep training for one because i didn't want to do it and also like you, i didn"t want to do it multiple times! looking back at that year, i found everything was a phase. we also went through the phase u are in now with the pacifier re-inserting multiple times. and we had good and less easy phases. i think it was around 14 months when LO started get less sleep than i need as an adult, so we let him cry for up to 10 minutes a couple of nights and then he started sleeping through. there have been exceptions though (teething, sick, nightmares?), but for the most part he is a good sleeper now.

The post that @Mrs. High Heels: mentions is one of the ones that really helped me when deciding when best to sleep train. We chose the "good" 2.5-4mth window and it worked amazingly well :) I was scared just by reading about the 4mth regression and wanted to avoid it.

I think the most important thing is to train when sleep is reasonably OK and there's nothing else (illness, teeth, regression) going on.

For both LOs, it just naturally occurred around 4 months. It wasn't necessarily planned that way, we just decided that running to babies crying multiple times a day/night wasn't for us. Worked wonders for both children. But you are a different person and you will find what works for you! Hope you get some relief soon :)

My lo is 4.5 month old and terrible sleeper. Cannot transition from one sleep cycle to other. Wakes countless times for pacifier during night as well as naps. I want to sleep train her but dont want to do this process again and again due to teething and othet developmental stuff. At what age should i sleep train, any advice
