Honestly, we've been using Baby Bjorn that are stiff with a pocket to hold food and water that falls or spills. Works great for us.

I don't have a perfect bib, so I'm following this, but one trick I figured out for her necklines is to layer a cloth/terry bib under the plastic/silicone one, kind of pushing the cloth up like a mock turtleneck. Keeps the dripping food from the neckline of her clothes.

I do like the Tommee Tippee ones but they aren't perfect.

I love my boys' JJ Cole bibs except... the snap is a bit big and keeps ripping through the thin fabric. Otherwise, a great and almost perfect bib if the snaps were smaller and don't keep ripping the fabric! We also use bumpkins bib and their long sleeve AND Ikea long sleeve smocks (the red and blue ones) for the winter months at the restaurants.

The long sleeved ikea bibs are the best. I use them on my 9 month old but they're huge and will probably last another year.

we use the bumkins long sleeve bibs. they are great! i also have one with no sleeves and it is good for a not too messy snack and i just roll up LO's sleeves on his shirt.

I like the bumkin short sleeve bib with the pocket. I started using them when LO was around 1 and was tearing the regular bibs off and throwing them on the floor. They provide good coverage, you can throw them in the washing machine, the pocket catches a lot of food, and most importantly he can't rip them off. He is two now and still can't rip them off. Also since it is short sleeved it is much easier to get on than a long sleeved bib.

I get some from etsy like these . . .https://www.etsy.com/listing/177666490/polka-dot-toddler-bib-cherry-tangerine

They are long and cover part of DS' lap. I found the plastic ones don't work as well. He'll wipe his hands on these bibs but not on his clothes.

bumkins long sleeved bibs.
we have one that we use for super messy stuff. other stuff I have their regular bibs with the pocket, and I just strip her down to her undershirt/onesie, and put that over. We still get some stains on the sides of the belly and on her collar where the bib doesn't cover. the- long sleeved ones work the best...I should use them all the time, but i get lazy.

DS's clothes are all getting trashed with his current bibs - they're just the standard size terry cloth kind. What kind of bib do you like for an older baby/young toddler?
