Thanks so much everyone! I’ll check these out. She wasn’t into magnatiles just before she turned 2 but maybe she would be now. I know everyone loves thems.

Hopefully I’m not suggesting the same set you already have but we have a wood set like these that my kids love. https://www.melissaanddoug.com/standard-unit-blocks/503.html These and the magnatiles are the most used building toys in our house.

My first was/is into building, so we have a lot of blocks. At that age, her favorite were a basic set of ABC blocks we were given for her birthday. I would also consider duplos and magnatiles. At six, she still plays with the magnatiles often. Her younger sister is now three and she’s gotten super into them recently too.

Are you looking specifically for traditional flat blocks? If not, my LO LOVED bristle blocks at that age and I highly recommend them for building (thought not for stepping on, lol!) Something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/Bristle-Blocks-Battat-Creativity-Dexterity/dp/B00CEW9BV6/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=bristle+blocks&qid=1595277055&sr=8-2

I also have a big bag of wooden blocks that were given to us that may be about 20 years old and they are awesome. No clue how to find them, though.

This is a really cute inexpensive set of blocks that I have for my little girls:
https://www.carters.com/s/Carters/carters-toddler-girl-accessories/081787678347.html?cm_mmc=ip_Carters-_-Google-_-{campaignid}-_-_081787678347&gclid=CjwKCAjwgdX4BRB_EiwAg8O8HR7BxrTd8h7_2HSfq3pK8DVcRu3pVoWWigM2MjvZMZwdNubU649CuhoCA_cQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Not badly priced at all. If you want to go pricey, I really love blocks by Grimm.

What's your price point? Good wooden blocks can be expensive.

A non-covid post! Anyone have suggestions for a set of blocks for a 2.5 year old? We have a Melissa and Doug set but they are super slippery and she has a hard time with them. At her playgroup they had these really old, plain wood ones she liked but I can’t find them. Ha I know this is a trivial question but let me know if you have ideas!
