For me, anything that has decent flare or straight leg will work. When I look at jeans, I check that the bottom (flared part) is the same width as the thigh part. If it's smaller, I know it'll make me look top-heavy, so I don't get them.

A couple years ago, I found a good pair at Old Navy. I wore them ALL THE TIME and only recently have they started to fray. I can't find the exact pair on their website, but I'm thinking if I were to buy another pair, I'd have to go with their trouser wide-leg jean or see if they had any flare ones.

Boot-cut generally doesn't work for me because it's still smaller than the thigh which doesn't look good on my big booty.

My favorite pair of jeans I ever bought were a pair of Vigoss jeans from Maurices. They were cut high enough that I didn't have a pouch in the front, but not so high that they were mom jeans.

@MrsBrewer: I've got a big butt and hips, bottom of me is a 12 and top of me is an 8. The two pair of jeans I wear the most are 1) by Ann Taylor Loft, no gap at the waist and they fit well and 2) are Gap Curvy. I like the Ann Taylor Loft jeans a bit more, but the Gap jeans work well, too and both are under $100.

I really like the curvy booty cut by Joe's Jeans that @hergreenapples mentioned--you can find them on clearance at Anthropologie for around $100 or sometimes they have them at TJ Maxx for less than that ($70-80ish I think). I also have a pair of curvy Levi's that I love!

@hergreenapples: I have one pair of capris that I bought from the gap and I loooove them! Good idea, I'll check them out.

@Mrs. Tricycle: yea same here informally always try and look for something with stretch, and says curvy. Also I've noticed that I have to get the higher waisted ones, otherwise......well I'll moon everyone! And no one wants that!

I wore Lee jeans from JCPenney pre-pregnancy. I'm very short so petite jeans were a necessity! I was an 18 pre-pregnancy.

I used to be a designer jean snob and mostly wore Citizens of Humanity and Joe's Jeans (specifically, "Honey," which is made for a curvier body), but in the last few years I discovered that Gap's curvy jeans actually fit me wonderfully and cost a lot less than designer brands.

I'm working with the same body type, but I don't have a go-to brand. I usually look for a modified boot cut and some stretch, and typically something labeled "curvy" so it fits my waist. It's been so long since I've worn my regular jeans that I've forgotten which pairs were my favorites. I think I usually have pretty good luck with jeans at the Limited.

Alright stay with me here. I personally hate the term "curvy" because its been used too much. But it was the best way to describe me without making myself feel bad lol

Anyways I really need new jeans, but like I said I'm curvy! I've got a big butt, wide hips, and big thighs! So that being said I can't do skinny jeans for the life of me!

I'm really looking for a good brand though, something that will last and not wear out after a year or start fraying a lot. But I can't picture myself paying over $100 for a pair of jeans either. Picky picky I know!

Does anyone have experience with this, or have any recommendations?
