Unfortunately my milk didn't keep nearly as well using this storage method and I ended up throwing away AT LEAST 40 oz. The little milk cubes had little icicles on them and after defrosting, the milk didn't smell very fresh.. Milk that was stored in bags smelled much better. @ 2 months I started using honeysuckle bags. I liked that Medela bags can be hooked right to the pump so it eliminates washing another bottle. However, I could only pour 5 oz at most. I liked that Lansinoh has a double zip and can hold twice as much as Medela bag. Using the expensive bags to freeze just an ounce or two would get very pricy. The Target ones are my fave now. They somehow freeze flatter than the Lansinoh, are made of thicker plastic, have a double zip....I just like them best now. We'd just pour the milk into an ice cube tray and then pop the frozen ice cubes out into a ziplock bag.
