Diono users often rear-face their kids until they reach their maximum rear-facing weight which is 45 lbs. My husband just got tired of putting my son rear-facing. :) You can forward face from 20-80 lbs and up to 57" tall. They also came out with an <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Diono-60320-Radian-Angle-Adjuster/dp/B006I1QTYQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1343571661&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=diono+angle+adjuster">angle adjuster</a> this past year that helps make the seat more upright for 1+ year or more children and adds up to 4" of more leg room for the front passenger. This was a big complaint in the past which is why they came out with the angle adjuster. Has great ratings and you can put three across if you need to. It also sits lower and you'll probably never have to buy another convertible car seat since all of them are booster capable after 50lbs. Two downsides to these seats are that it's heavier than most (b/c of steel bars) and it takes up a lot of space rear-facing. We went to look at convertibe seats today at BRU and they all seem huge!</p> <p>We have a '01 civic and a '02 corolla. The chicco keyfit has worked great so far but seems much smaller.</p> <p>Any advice? I have looked at the britax marathon online and been tempted but dont want to waste time if it wont fit. I would love recommendations for small cars.<br /> thanks! </p>
