I got DD some bright star soft blocks. They've really helped her learn to grab things and she loves the "crinkle" noise some of them make. As she's grown, now she loves watching me knock them down

I concur w/@zippylef and her recommendations :) My LO loved (and still loves) anything that makes crinkly noises or has different textures.

Rattles, toys with different textures and patterns (crinkly, fuzzy, polka dots, stripes), toys that light up (for DD, that was the remote) ... At that age, they're exploring things with their mouth and starting to really use their hands so stick to basics that have a visual or audible appeal.
My DD was given this and she went crazy over it.

What about sensory balls or blocks? At that age introducing different textures is abig deal.

I'm looking for some developmental toys for my daughter and would love to get some recommendations! Preferably nothing too electronic because my son will demolish it in seconds.
