The key (for us) is to make sure the area is dry before applying the rash cream and closing the diaper. We keep a roll of paper towels next to our changing spot so we can pat dry the area after every diaper change. OMG I used one to blow my nose once because it was handy and holy crap did it sting!! My nose was dry from blowing it and gosh. Wipes can really sting. We haven't had it that bad, but we use a combo of Destin (thick white paste), A+D and Aquaphor. She screams every time I try to wipe it, and I feel so terrible for her. This is the first time she's had a diaper rash, so I don't really know what to use. All we had was Aquaphor, but I'm not sure that it'll help with an actual rash. I'm going to go try to get some diaper cream after lunch. What are your recommended diaper rash creams and treatments? </p>
