@birdofafeather: Ah, gotcha. That's smart, with the covers every time! Yeah, he doesn't poop at night, either, so I'm just trying to hold in the pee.

I may just end up using cloth. Womp womp.

@allison: oops. Every day we use cloth (prefolds with flips or BG 4.0s) but when traveling to our parents, etc we have been using disposables so we don't have to pack everything. So for that, we use EB and a flip cover, every time. I haven't had issues with EB with leaks at all (pee or poo) BUT she's had blow outs in the EB where the flip covers saved her cloths, car seat, me, etc. :)

@birdofafeather: right, for the trip. But for everyday (night)? But you just mean you used the covers to hold in potential poop leaks, not pee leaks? ...I think I understand what you're saying... Ha.

I need to just get a couple wool covers, but I'm too late on that, now, for this trip!

I just don't want to have to wash his bedding and pjs every day on account of pee leaks from the disposables.

@allison: Oh we didn't bother with any of our cloth stuff because I didn't want to deal with washing poop out of cloth. The earths best worked for us for overnight with no changes (she doesn't usually poop overnight but still nurses 1-2 times so lots of pee) and then the covers were just for protection against blow outs, poop leaks etc. R has chunky legs and a belly too.

@birdofafeather: So, at night, I put a fitted AND a cover over the disposable. Are you telling me that I don't even need the fitted? I just wasn't sure the cover would hold in moisture if there wasn't anything absorbent in there...?

We've used earths best with great success! (Also, bring along a couple diaper covers to help with leaks! We used our flip covers on our camping trip and they were lifesavers.)

Try Bambo nature. My LO has always been chunky and they work well for us. When I first tried them, I was able to order a sample size from Amazon. I now buy them on diapers.com.

We're going on a week-long trip, and I've decided to use disposables. I've been using NATY Babycare at night, but he always leaks around the legs, and I think it's because they're cut too narrowly.

Anyone have a chunky baby and have good success with a particular brand of 'sposies? I'd prefer to use something more eco-friendly than Pampers/Huggies.
