I have a relative who’s a hair stylist and she gifted me a straightener years ago. I LOVE it. It works super well, I can adjust the heat, and I’ve probably had it for 7-8 years. Mine is the Tool Science brand and looks similar to the one I’m linking.

I've had a Remington Anti-Frizz straightener for about 7-8 years now and I love it. I have super thick, curly, frizzy hair and it works wonders. It has several temperature settings and I usually use one of the two lowest settings and it straightens it well and doesn't fry my hair at all. They seem to have made a few changes to the newer version in the link below and some people aren't happy with them, but I'd definitely buy it and try it if/when my current one dies.

I also have one of the super expensive ones (given to me as a gift) that only has one high heat setting but I don't use it much since it destroys my hair if I use it too often.

I'm sort of in the market for a new flat iron and can't decide! So many options in every price range that have great reviews, but are the more expensive ones really better? Do you have one that you love? Especially if you've tried multiple ones?
I got the HSI that has a ton of great reviews on amazon and "best of" pages, but I'm not impressed with it at all.
