I know the baby bjorn gets a bad rap for being a 'crotch dangler" but our LO loves facing out in it and he almost never fusses in it.

@BeachMama: oops you're right ( i got the butterfly for free). I haven't used it outward facing because I also have a lillebaby that I don't like as much. I would check out the catbird! I am going to only wear olive in facing because they're much heavier outward facing.

The Ergo can also be used on your hip. Maybe your LO would like that and you can save the money! Though, if your anything like me, getting to buy a new carrier is way too enticing :)

I also have a beco but it's the Gemini and baby needs full head support to face outward so I haven't tried it yet (DD is 6 weeks old). But you can also wear it on your hip and back--which a family member tried her daughter in my carrier and she loved it! So I just thought I would share :) DD loves the carrier facing inward and it's the only way I can get shopping and cleaning done!

@Mrs. Bee- I didn't think the Butterfly 2 was outward facing?

I just got a beco butterfly II and really like it! Another good forward facing is the catbird pikkolo (i've heard but haven't tried).

I know they aren't really recommended due to spine/hip considerations but LO really likes to look around and fusses in the Ergo if she's not sleepy. Does anyone use an outward facing carrier? Any recommendations?
