With two kids (one being 2.5 years and the other being 2 weeks) at the moment I only shower when DD1 is napping. Then I put DD2 in her pack and play bassinet and bring the monitor into the bathroom (we have two cameras with a scan function so I can keep an ear out for both). I wouldn't trust being out of arms reach with DD1 awake because she loves touching and hugging her sister and just doesn't understand how little she is. It's early but that's what works for us at the moment!

When I had my son I could put him in his bouncy seat and he would nap or hang out whilst I showered or etc. well now I will have a 2 and half year old with me and I am nervous to have him able to reach baby while I am in the shower or etc. I was thinking that the best solution to this would be a bassinet since they are generally fairly tall no to big and can roll. I was wondering though if any of you had a better suggestion. The one thing that won't work is a pack n play or rock n play or anything big. I just want a place aside from the crib where I can put baby out of my sons reach of I need to step away for a few minutes. My son is not always great about listening to me or following instruction so a barrier will help.

Thank you for all suggestions.
