DD has a Micro Mini. She's had it for awhile and still uses it at 4.5 yo, but the footbed is tiny (can only fit 1 foot). If we were to get her a scooter now, I'd get a Micro Maxi (they are well built) or find something similar with a larger board.

We have a micro mini that still fits LO and we will definitely get the maxi. They are super durable.

I'm going to suggest a micro maxi too. I got one for my 3yo and at the lowest setting, she has plenty of room to grow into it. She caught on really fast and is super quick on it. She loves riding it around the neighborhood.

Eta: They are on the expensive side, but I figured she'll have at LEAST 5 years of use out of it, so that makes me feel better.

Mine wanted 3 wheels - she got a micro maxi for her 5th bday (to match 2yo's micro mini). On the more expensive side so great if you can find a sale but I have only heard great things about how they hold up. She could handle it well from the start and it supposedly goes up to age 12 as you raise the handlebar. I'm very happy with it.

I think we need to get DS1 a scooter for this summer. He's bored with his balance bike and doesn't really get it. I started doing some research but most scooters usually are listed for age groups that are either from 2-4 or 5-8. I don't want to get him a scooter that he will outgrow in a few months but I'm concerned that if I get him a more advanced scooter, he'll get frustrated with it and not use it. Any recommendations on brands? Three wheels vs two?
