I have a Lillebaby Airflow and a Lillebaby embossed. The airflow is all mesh. Lillebaby also has an All-Seasons, that has a zip down panel that's mesh, but I've heard that's much hotter than the all mesh.

I personally love my Airflow. It's cool, but still has all the features, like a big pocket (also mesh) to zip in keys or some cash and your phone. The embossed is a microfiber that wicks away moisture. I haven't tried it in hot weather yet, as I got it just a couple of months ago, but it's also supposed to be good.

The Lillebaby can forward face ergonomically, plus inward front carry, side carry, and back carry. The ergo only inward front faces, but I know some people prefer that.

I think carriers are kind of like jeans--you have to try a few on and see what fits your body and needs best.

Check out Connecta's! They are from England, but there are US online retailers for them. They make a carrier with Solar Weave material which is basically swim trunk material. Super light weight!

We also have the Ergo Sport Ventus (mesh) - we like it a lot! Still pretty hot during Georgia summers, but as bearable as it gets, I think.

@fussygal: we have the lillebaby with the mesh part. It helps but both LO and I were sweaty by the end of longer baby wearing stretches. Not unbearable though. For reference I had a July baby in the hot desert southwest.

I got the Ergo Sport Ventus (mesh) and I think it's done really well in the heat! I'm hoping to use it a lot when #2 arrives in September.

I've never used it, but I know the Pognae unzips to have a mesh front. I can see that helping, but the real stickiness comes in from the body-to-body point of contact, so if it's really hot, I'm not so sure that exposed area will be enough to make a big difference.

@ShootingStar: @oliviaoblivia: @Mrs. Pink: thanks! I have a friend who highly recommends that one, too! Might have to test it out.

I'd try the Lillebaby as well! You might have a local babywearing group with a lending library that has one (ours does) and you could try it out before you buy!

I've heard really good things about the Lillebaby Airflow. Kinderpack makes a good one too with cool knit, but those are really hard to get a hold of.

What is your favorite structured carrier for the warmer months?

DS will be here soon and I want to buy a structured carrier for him. We had an original Ergo for DD and while I really liked it, it was SO hot. The summers here are insanely hot (and spring/early fall is pretty warm, too) so something that performs well in the heat is a must. There are so many carriers out there it makes my head spin just thinking about the research! :)

ETA: I also have a Solly Wrap and a ring sling that I can use, but I found the structured carrier to be much easier on my back for longer outings.
