Closed toe, padded footbed, APA approved, in a classic style. I really like the SRT line, DD walks at least 2 miles a day.</p> <p>We also have the SKR mary jane sneaker.</p> <p>I don't buy Keens because DH has worn through several pairs in less than a year, I don't find them to be quality. Unless the kid line is better quality? They are mesh on the sides so her feet don't get too hot but they cover her foot so she doesn't scrape her toes running around. Unless it's super hot, they spend all morning and all afternoon (save nap and meal times) outside at daycare, and we try to do the same on weekends. I love cute girly sandals for summer but I'm terrified they're not going to hold her foot steady enough when she's constantly moving, so I'm wondering what others have found to be good, sturdy shoes that are also good for hot weather (we're in the DC area) that won't make her feet sweat. We have 2 pairs of Pedi Peds that she's already wearing out after a couple months so I'm looking into beefing up her selection and would love recommendations. </p>
