I honestly question both so it helps to have both to cross reference.</p> <p>That said, I definitely prefer the temporal thermometer. It's the only one he'll sleep through, and I feel like it's pretty accurate. If I ever question it, I'll just take my own normal temperature to confirm its working right. </p> <p>We've bought three of the temporal - 2 at our house and 1 at my parents. My thermometer hating guy doesn't even mind it. I know rectal is the most accurate, but my baby is a sweaty beast and it's summer so I get really paranoid about him having a fever when he is almost certainly 100% fine. So I'd like an easy way to take his temperature that is non invasive so I only take his temp rectally when it is really necessary and not to calm my new mama fears. I started researching on amazon and got completely flummoxed. What do you own and love? Bonus points for links! Thanks in advance! </p>
