The early morning flight there was perfect b/c he slept the whole way. The way home we took a 7pm flight which unfortunately didn't work nearly as well. He screamed bloody murder up until about 30 sec before we boarded the plane. The only thing that got him to stop was a tight swaddle and thank GOD he fell asleep. I would stick to morning/afternoon flights b/c some babies are prone to the 'witching hour' meltdowns. My certainly was! You'll be home in time to still have bathtime/bedtime/etc on schedule. At that age there is no reliable "nap time" so that doesn't really factor in. We flew when LO was just shy of 3 months old, I nursed her on take off and she slept on the boppy on my lap for the whole flight like a perfect angel. Both of our flights were mid day which was ideal. But that was because we knew she would be strapped in and we couldn't hold her so sleeping was easier.
