We've been happy with PediPed and leather moccasins, which aren't really too sturdy for wear and tear but are great for allowing them to feel the ground.

I know they aren't as cute, but the classic crocs are great. Their other, cuter styles aren't wide.

Pedipeds are good. Especially the styles with 2 velcro straps so they open nice and wide for getting chunky feet in. We got the 'Gehrig' style last go-round and they work well. And there's a 10% off discount code until the end of August. BTSCHOOL10

We loved Keens for our older boy but they're too narrow for the younger one.

Stride rite here too. They even carry XW. I've also gotten Keens and crocs for the boys.

DS has wide, chunky feet also and Stride Rite has been our go to. We just make sure it's velcro top so we have some wiggle room to shove his feet in and still fasten it.

Since it's summer, we're loving the double strapped sandals. Plenty of clearance!

DS inherited DH's hobbit feet - really wide and kinda thick too. I've had luck with some styles of Stride Rite in wide, but others haven't worked. We also had luck with one pair of See Kai Run shoes. Are there other brands I should try? Or styles that work better than others?
