We have an Onieda set as well and LOVE them. We have been using them since DS started solids (he refused to eat off plastic/silicone).

This is the set we have: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003M8G880

i have this skip hop plate that i really like b/c DS has a hard time picking it up and pitching it (a problem with most other plates & bowls!): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001KA3JGG/ref=oh_details_o07_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

But like you said, the plastic fork stinks so I have a set of OXO forks/spoons that he uses pretty well http://www.amazon.com/OXO-Tot-Fork-Spoon-Aqua/dp/B0038JDV4W/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1386775917&sr=8-3&keywords=toddler+utensils

After reading Mrs. Hopscotch's post this morning I am inspired to start using plates and utensil's with LO! Any recommendations for the best utensils for a 14 month old? We have Boon forks and spoons--the spoons are fine but the tines on the forks are way too dull and make it difficult for him to stab food.

Anyone use these sugarbooger ones?
