Fun, but not for more than a few days. Going to Japan with his family, to visit family, was by far the most fun trip! We went so many places, saw and learned so many things, connected with his family, and there was still so much left to do by the time we had to leave. It was about 12 days total, we also stayed in Jackson and Houston along the way. We drove about 1,700 miles. We fondly refer to it as our food tour of the South, it was for our 5 year anniversary. It was an awesome way to see a good chunk of the U.S. we had never been to. We had a blast together and that was the year we were dating.</p> <p>2) the year we got engaged, we took a trip to some lesser-known parts of Mexico. We flew into Veracruz and explored all around Veracruz and the beaches, then went up to Xalapa (magical, magical place) and Papantla to see the ruins. Another amazing trip.</p> <p>3) All inclusive in DR when I was pregnant--that one was great because we just did NOTHING for 5 straight days--we just lounged, ate, and drank (well, that was DH). But a few months before we got pregnant with LO we went to Gruene/San Antonio/New Branfuels with a group of friends for a week and had a blast. We actually went because a friend was supposed to get married but the wedding got canceled but we all still went and stayed in this gorgeous house right on the river and we went kayaking and shopping and met and became friends with several awesome members of our friends family. I had a scary raft out too. I fell out twice and got pretty banged up. The pictures are hilarious though, dh is having the time of his life and I look petrified. We stayed in one of the Linda Vista suites -I don't think ill ever stay anywhere that nice again. the honeymoon canopy is so cool with the walk out treehouse! Was Jonathan the bar tender there ? He took us zip lining and on a walk to a waterfall to go swimming. I can't pick between the big ones though because they were so different. We spent a week at an all-inclusive in Jamaica, and it was beautiful and relaxing and amazing. Then the other was two weeks in Europe (Paris, Edinburgh, and London). It was SO fun, but we were going the whole time so it was definitely not relaxing. So secluded! We stayed in the honeymoon suite with the private treehouse and it was so fun drinking a glass of wine there each evening! We also hiked to visit with the local shaman one day, and saw lots of crazy animals, which was memorable. </p> <p>We actually had a bit of a wild rafting trip back. During a major set of rapids, a guy in one of the other boats was hit in the face by a paddle and his nose was bleeding sooo much. I got queasy and almost passed out! That part was not my favorite, but it sure was an adventure!</p> <p>I hope you are able to make it back for your 10 year anniversary!
