The bra should be tight and should be able to hold up with flanges without you holding them. But to remove the flanges once you're done, I definitely lean over a sink and try to til the flanges so the excess milk falls into the flange rather than just out. But did you leak while pumping or while taking it off? I always had some milk bead up on the edge of the flanges and drip off when I took them off my boobs, so I had to lean forward so it would run in rather than out (hopefully my description makes sense). If it's leaking while you're pumping, you most likely just need to adjust the flanges to make sure they are tight to your boobs.</p> <p>Also -- the elastic on the bra will stretch over time, so don't be surprised if it starts feeling loose and you have to adjust it to tighten it up.
