I was very overwhelmed when I was pregnant. LO1 is 19 months older than LO2. I have to say though...3 weeks in and totally sleep deprived, I feel like a better mom now. I don't know what it is, but I feel like each child gets more good attention and is learning what it's like not to be the center of the universe (in a good way). In addition, my house is cleaner and I'm more put together! I spend a lot of time trying to say one step ahead and it's totally paying off. So to other parents preparing for number two, it might be a lot better than you are anticipating! There are certainly hard moments but it isn't twice as hard has having one child (which was my fear!). Did anyone else adjust to 2 kids much better than expected? </p>
