We both were always vocal about loving and wanting kids. We've always both been on board but it was more a timing thing. We discussed it in October 2011, and decided to start trying, but working opposite schedules when he was in school FT meant we LITERALLY never saw each other to try! He finished the classes part in January and our nephew was born in February, and we stopped preventing for good at that time. But no dice until we moved to FL and then in October of last year decided to really start trying. There was really never anyone who had to convince the other really... we both would always be thrilled if I turned up pregnant, even when we were engaged, it would have been inconvenient but still happy! It ended up being me first because I had presented him with this whole plan where we'd be married for a year, start looking for a house, then start TTC. And then less than a month after we got married I told him I wanted to go off the pill lol. In September I went to the pharmacy to get my BC and he had me meet him for lunch the next day to tell me that he thought we should start trying. I was worried too, but I was even more worried about my age since we didn't decide to have kids in the first place until after we turned 30. Hubs never really seemed that into it, although once we started trying, he did seem to want to do it "right" (he got mad at me one cycle because we were doing it every other day instead of every day and he thought we should be doing it more to up our chances). When we got married though, we had talked about when we wanted to start a family (or, more likely, when I wanted to start a family) and we agreed on year to start trying. And then for the year leading up to then, I would bring it up every so often to remind him that it was coming up and he would just sort of roll his eyes at me. But when it came time to start trying based on our previously agreed upon date, he seemed fine with it!
