HE came right out and exposed everything to not feed into the media machine. 24/7 news cycle has made real news a rare thing these days. Instead of a few daily broadcasts they have ALL day to cover meaningless stories and need to be sensationalist to get reactions/ratings.</p> <p>Beyonce and JayZ simply took this one into their hands. Gave some details and not all and the media has run away with the rest. Is anyone shocked this happened? Im sure several other celebrities have had similar birthing stories with huge fame, money, and power. </p> <p>The real question is, so what if the stories about them are true? I think she and Jay-Z handle the publicity really well and know how to balance their private life with being mega superstars.</p> <p>The first and only joint statement they've ever released was about the birth of their daughter, which I wasn't expecting at all. The way the media has portrayed it, it's like this baby is the second coming of Christ. And I'm honestly tired of hearing about this baby and what Bey and Jay allegedly did or didn't do.</p> <p>It's interesting to me how these two, who have been so uber private in the past (not even acknowledging that they were together for years) have become so public--Beyonce announcing she was pregnant on MTV and Jay Z releasing this song that also mentions the miscarriage.</p> <p>I think there's some truth to some of these stories--at least on the part of other parents/family members being kept away from seeing their children in the NICU. She and Jay-Z have the same right to privacy as any other new parents but unfortunately the tabloids don't want to give them that. If I were them, I'd use some of my funds to help to guarantee that privacy.</p> <p>And I don't understand all of the comments of "Why didn't they just pay doctors to come to their home?" I'd never be willing to give birth at home because I want close access to a NICU in case something goes wrong. What happens if things go wrong, and you need a blood transfusion, or baby needs emergency surgery and the team you've shipped out isn't equipped for that. I'd rather have the staff in their preferred environment prepared for every possible outcome.</p> <p>It sounds to me that they booked a private executive suite in the hospital, which makes sense, and I totally understand wanting to limit things like cell phones etc. Like @coastinganon said, she went through all the same pregnancy crap we all went through. I literally waited over an hour once. A nurse called in on the radio this morning to remind the DJ's that hospitals are very short of cash at this time and that if someone is going to offer to pay a hospital $1.3 million, they're going to take it. That doesn't mean they are going to take it at the expense of other patients, but rather they are going to everything within their power to commit to the security that the client is paying them for. So if that means taking away cellphones, than that's what that means and hospitals that are used to working with high profile patients are used to working within those confines.</p> <p>It was funny, because even the DJ admitted that was true but that without the hype he doesn't have a show and the New York papers don't have a headline!</p> <p>Also - just to completely be the devil's advocate here...I can't help but think if all of this ISN'T true what it must feel like to be Beyonce. In the end, she's just as human as the rest of us. She's felt that baby move inside her for at least 4 months...she's been uncomfortable, probably had to pee a thousand times a night. She's been looking forward to meeting this baby. And now the baby is finally here and she's in that magical world of the hospital where it is just you and your baby and instead of being able to enjoy that like a normal new mother, she's got the WHOLE. WORLD. talking smack about what may or may not happened with hospital security.
