We didn't have any issues with nipple confusion, and have been successful with breastfeeding even despite my flat nipples. He doesn't really like them all that much, but he's only two weeks old. He was a NICU baby and they teach them to take a paci so he can learn to suck. I wasn't able to breastfeed him till he was 6 days old and he latched right on. We used the Tommee Tippee ones, she took them fine until she turned about 6 and got settled on her thumb.
