I'm in the same boat. My LO got his bottom teeth at 4 months and, with the exception of a few actual bites (ouch!) at the beginning, they have never bothered me. He recently got the top two and the combo bothers me! Its like I can feel them scraping and I'm just dreading him clamping down! Its actually uncomfortable, but not painful really... Sorry I don't have any advice, but I can commiserate!

Yeah, this happened to us too but the last couple of days I think it has gone away.

i think it's just a different latch now. it doesn't hurt, i made sure DS is latched on properly and after a few days my nips adjusted to the new grip! LOL

@autumn865: I find that when new teeth come in, breastfeeding feels weird for both LO and I. I just try to make sure she's latched on correctly and eventually the weirdness wears off. I'm surprised I'm so used to her teeth now!

@Mrs. Train: I'm glad to hear that hopefully the "weirdness" goes away. She got her top two teeth last week so I'm sure she's a little sore and getting used to things too.

Just make sure she's latched properly. It might take a few weeks for that area of your breast to adjust to the teeth. I usually had some discomfort with those first teeth then it goes away.

I don't think it's something that can be fixed. Maybe make sure her mouth is open Really wide? LO has four on top now, and while it doesn't hurt, it is a bit uncomfortable.

My 8 month old got her top two teeth and when I nurse her (particularily on my left side) i can feel her teeth. She doesn't bite and it really doesn't hurt- it just quite frankly feels WEIRD and I'm really starting to hate the sensation. What is going on? How do I fix it?
